In 2009, out of a shared love of vintage golf clubs and hard swinging jazz, the Swinging Blades, was born. Marrickville Golf Club took a punt on the band to bring some vibe to the clubhouse on Sunday afternoons and now, after performing every week since then, the gig has become a Sydney jazz institution. Over the years "the Blades" as they are affectionately known around town has comprised the absolute creme of Australia's jazz players and vocalists.
